In this post you should be looking at pictures of the apparatus from the VA Hospital in Martinsburg, WV...but unfortunately my tax money pays people like Barbara.... the secretary for the Director of the Hospital...who told me that there were 4 forms that needed filled out it would take 4 weeks or so to get the approval. It is a F***ing VA Hospital... there are no goverment secrets here Barbara.... I used to think we needed to spend as much money as we could on our veterans... but if that money goes towards paying people like you than maybe I need to rethink that idea and start suggesting HOW we spend our money for the veterans. For the record.. I still think that THE VETERANS should get as much money as we can give them.. I just don't think tw**t bags like Barbara or the director of the hospital should see any of it.

Short story on American Fire Eagle.... as we all know there used to be a company that did fire trucks called American Eagle (the oldest pumper from Slanesville). They were bought up by E\-One and the owners signed an agreement that they wouldn't build any fire apparatus for 5 years (except working at E\-One). After 5 years they left E\-One and started up making fire trucks again, but since they couldn't use the name American Eagle.. they chose American Fire Eagle. The tank body (with the contours) was designed by members of the Slanesville Fire Department for better visibility to the rear of the piece, after American Fire Eagle made this one they ask Slanesville for permission to use the design and wound up selling 6 more tankers just like this in about a 6 month period. This tanker cost the department $100,000 dollars of which just over half was spent on the chassis.

Please take all stats for Paw-Paw's stuff with a grain of salt... the person pulling them out told me he didn't really know but that he thought this was the right information. The person pulling them out was not even actually a driver.. but "he was allowed to pull them in and out".... that is why the sun is so crappy on these pictures.. he didn't want to move them over to the bank where there was nice sun and no shadows.

Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel!

I feel ya, I've had this type of thing happen to me more than once. These admin types usually don't have a clue. I do my best to avoid these clowns and make contact directly with the FD personnel. It usually saves a lot of headaches.

Thanks for posting the rest of the pics anyway.

Ohh yes Dave, I tried that.. I went to the firehouse first and got told I had to ask the police department... well the police department thought that was HILARIOUS and the guy on duty actually called the fire house up to tell the guy on duty to stop jerking me around. Well I guess they talked and the guy at the firehouse was playing it straight by the rule book and it turned out I had to talk to the director. I tried to avoid the bureaucrats but I got f***d!
