This is a 1979 Ward LaFrance pumper, deamed the Ward La Junk by my fire company, it was under powered and by 1983 was unsuitable for our town and replaced by a Hahn. When purcahesed it was Station 50 Engine 5-2 ie 52 but after the county renumbered everyone irt became Engine 50.

Bruce the Ward that was for sale in the Pafm in 1992 should have been the 1977 Ward that Wm. Penn Owned. That truck was sold after being replaced by Middletown Township after it was rehabed from when the Oxford Valley Station caught fire in 1982.

Bruce,

The Great Eastern from Croydon, was not sold to Perdix, unless they had 2, in 1999 Bristol Consolidated bought the Great Eastern from Croydon, it was to put in service as E-501 and it sat in the firehouse for almost 2 years without going in service. Bristol put alot of work into in, and then Sold it to Joe DeAngelis, my grandfather. He sold it to a guy in 2003 that was going to turn it into a serivce truck, but instead scrapped it. I also show it as a 71 or 72.

The Maxim ladder from Bristol also had a 250gpm pump, that was removed do to operator error. They went to a fire, and the driver engaged the pump with the truck in gear, it destroyed the pump, and blew the rear. My grandfather sold it to Ron Baus of Spirit Dodge in Sweedsboro NJ.
