How many E-1 135' Aerials were built, and where do they still serve?
I know of 11: Wash DCFD - 2 (1 wrecked, 1 rebuilt with new cab) Fairfax Co.,Va - 2 (1 went to Berryville,VA.) Chicago - 2 West Lanham Hills,MD. - 1(sold several years ago) Monroeville,PA. - 1 (currently 4-sale) Hightstown,NJ - 1 Syracuse,NY - 1 Westmont,Ill. - 1 Here's the 1st DCFD 135'; the 1983 Spartan/E-1 was very handsome with the old-style DC scheme and twin Beacon rays. I seem to recall that the Schaumburg rig went to the Namozine VFD in Petersburg, VA. As far as I know, the other two are still in service in Mississippi. |
