F.D.N.Y.
For my money, in the future ANYBODY who represents themselves as a firefighter (current or retired) had damn well better be able to prove it if questioned. No bluff, no bluster, no bullshit, just PROOF.

FYI I will happily prove to anybody, who asks like a gentleman, who I am. My career is well documented in a file right next to where I'm sitting now.

Guys, this might be better served in the rants and raves, 'specially if this guy is in fact misrepresenting himself.

The FF Martin that has been posting on Firepics.net is not the actually FF Martin (retired FDNY L110, Florida resident, and formerly of the Code 3 Board), do I have that correct?

Something I've always wondered: Why were FDNY BC/DivC rides always equipped with the multiple flashers on the back end of the roof? They seemed sort of redundant to the light bars, and seemed like a step back in time. Was there some advantage to them, or was it a tradition thing?

Just curious.

I believe those rais up vertical to provide distance warning whe on scene or highway use. Some of the cars have Whelen light bars also that raise.
