Look at the Ladder truckon the top right side of the photo. It is Ladder 62 for Rescue Me.

Looks more like Engine 62 from Gun Hill in Da Bronx.

I was told that the old MTA buses were converted into mask confidence buses. They would bring them right to the firehouse so the company training on them did not have to be out of service.

ExFDNY Ladder 33 found rotting in a field around Buffalo. 1981 Seagrave 100' RM now restored as Ladder 343.



I'll dig up Bill's card and add more info such as his website.



This turned up at the assembly and departure to Fort Benning, GA (Home of the Infantry) of a piece of WTC steel.

Ladder 33 never had a rear mount Seagrave.....always a Tower Ladder since the late 60's or early 70's

The Ft Benning piece of WTC steel as it arrives at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn at 6:30 Am and then a little later on with more daylight.



These pieces of steel are now available to FD and PD. Apply on letterhead, can't be used for fund raising, must be visible to the public.



Firehouse Magazine (on line) Sept 10th has the story, addresses, sample letters.

This is a great thread. I love all the old FDNY pics. When I look at the pictures I can't help wondering if the guys working in the photo are even still with us today after the attacks. I'm glad we hold moments of silence/ceremonies/and lower our flags every year in thier honor.

Phil, at the request of WAH, I took my antique pumper to the Interstate 78/Route 412 (Bethlehem/Hellertown) interchange to lend support to the boys in the ride. They rode past about 10:15am. Took some pix, will post later. I was also there last year when they rode the steel out to Shanksville, Pa.

You're right. This was formerly Tk 36 from the Inwood section of northern Manhattan.

This company lost a FF (Thomas Brick) who became separated from his buddies in a mattress warehouse fire right next to the elevated subway tracks which made it difficult to get tower ladder pipes into position. Dec 16, 2003.

We have used it repeatedly as a spare, but it was never ours. we have the other County Ladder now, Ex-Bryans Road, MD. I personally like driving this old Seagrave, its like driving a go-kart, but slower!
