Oh I didnt see you then...at least I dont think I did. We were trying to take video, but there were 2 people in front of us that kept walking in front to go out in the street to get pictures. That was probably the best area to get pictures since they werent many people around. The 2 I saw were the ones that kept getting in my shots. lol
It came from a dept near NYC. There was a story on the news about this truck responding to the 9-11 attacks. And being on scene @ the towers.
I was caddy corner from you at the parade. I was able to speed off after the 6 minute parade to get my fiance to an atm, do two laps around a parking garage on the landing and park and get back to lenor k sullivan to be in front of the parade again. I was VERY disappointed. There were more trucks from Ill. and counties that are 40-50 miles from dowtown, than local departments. It needs to go back to market street.
I totally agree Matt the parade was very short, and I was disappointed in the turn out also. I think it needs to also move back to market street.

Hook And Ladder 6 has been delivered and will be going to Engine house 12 and replace the quint there. E-12's truck will become E-10, since they havent had a smeal since it was in their infamous accident. However, the 2 new H&L's cannot go in service until they BUY NEW hose for it. Someone missed that detail I suppose.
Medic Unit 2, 5, 10, 12, 13, 14, 23, 32, 33 have been delivered. They will be running as soon as everyone gets through drivers training.

Former engine 1524
1998 Pierce Dash Currently running in place of Quint 1535, OOS due to electrocution
These could possibly be the last pictures I get of Kirkwood's Quint. Last week electric wires fell ontop of the aerial, frying everything possible. The wire also draped across the pump panel causing electrical failure. The unit is being sent back to Pierce for inspection. The FF's I spoke with believe the unit may be completely replaced.

Where is the pump panel for 1524? Does kirkwood not have their spare ladder anymore? I remember seeing it not too long ago.
I think 1535 saw more out of town fires than they ever had in the wood.
The pump panel is behind the cab and in the first roll up door. No they dont have a spare ladder anymore. It was recently sold via online apparatus dealer. I definately agree with you...the power line fell on it while assisting Des Peres. I dont think Ive ever heard a kwood fire be dispatched. lol
here is some old shots from cottleville back in the old days when everything was lime green Pierce apparatus
