The ALF was picked up by RICHMOND ENGINE 1 on SI. They were going to put it in service but got Grant money and used this rig and the other ALF (ex-E70) that they were running as a trade in. The trade help bring the price down to cover the part of the cost teh grant did not cover. It was turned over to Campbell's (The ALF dealer in NJ)... LOCATION UNKNOWN

On another note, any word on the new GMC Sierra-2500hd's for the Battalions ? We just received 3 Ford F-350/4-door pick-ups (a 1st for us) to be capped for assignment to our BC's..........

The Ferrara that 54 has is garbage. I know cause I used to drive it. Should be interesting to see how much time the new Ferrara aerials that we're supposedly getting spend in the shops.



And why are we getting "Pick-up trucks" for B.C. rides??????????

M, I believe Ford stopped making the Excursion, and Chevy/GMC aren't making Burbans' or Tahoes with a Diesel engine, therefore the switches to the pick-ups......

If it's anything like the F-450 Super Duty's that we had for ambulances......the term "battleship" comes to mind when thinking of turning radius.

I do have to say the new F-350 through F-450 have a excellent turning radius. I drive a 2008 F-450 at my volly place and it makes turns the E-series wont.
