Ford C Series Chassis Fire Apparatus
Quote:I'm guessing this is from New Jersey

Hillsborough Twp Ford C Young with a LTI/Grove aerial

LTI photo

1976 Ford CT-8000/Young 1250/400/65' LTI "Fire Commander" #76-605.

This was a short-lived rig. The cab was destroyed after only about a year in service. It was rechassied on a Hendrickson 1871C, #77-640.

If I remember right, Hillsborough NJ Ladder was returning from Wildwood coming up the Garden State Parkway when for some reason the ladder caught a overhead Bridge. The officer was thrown thru the windshield. The ladder was cut up and all the remains where brought to the Hillsborough Firehouse. I have pictures that I took of this back then. I'll try to see if I can find them.
