Any pics? OCNY Fire still shows the '91 [/quote] Photos and info provided by my friend Tom Sheehy: Vails Gate FD in Orange County has just taken delivery of 2 new Pierce rigs. Engine 478 is a Pierce Arrow XT pumper, 1500gpm/1000gal tank. It arrived about 3 weeks ago and is already in service. It replaced a 1992 Seagrave. This is our first rig with roll up doors. Truck 482 is a Pierce Velocity Tower Ladder, 100ft Tower/1500gpm/300 gal tank. It just arrived this weekend. It replaced a 1990 Grumman Aerial Cat tower. These rigs, along with all other in-service rigs, now display our new company emblem, commemorizing the Home of the Purple Heart Hall of Honor that is in our district. As you can see, we have stayed with the white/lime green color scheme, first used by VGFD in 1980. Here's a few photos, a bunch more are at the link below: Engine 478 Truck 482: The new emblem: The link to more images: http://public.fotki.com/tsheehy/fire-dep...e-company/ |
