Correct on Buckhorn - it is located in PA, just outside of Bloomsburg, along Rt 80. I went to Bloomsburg many - many moons ago - great truck stop - a place to get something to eat at 3:00 am after a serious night of brews. Oh, the memories.

Scott, I am almost positive that this is the Buckhorn VFD in Brunswick County, Virginia. I'll have to check my notes when I get home to be sure, though.

I can't explain why that CarMar rig has a Bean body, but it does. It even has Bean pump controls. Can't help with the specs either, but this one is definitely in PA. I found their website and there are two shots of it there.
Thanks for the information, guys. I have to wonder if Buckhorn, VA didn't see this rig at some point, as at least one of thier older rigs had a very similar deer-and-lettering scheme.
Now I am determined to find photos when I get home! :-)

1965 International Loadstar/American LaFrance, full cab, 750/750. It was housed on 8/28/65 at a cost of $13,000. While pumping at a call in 10/82 on a sharp curve, it was sideswiped by Cochranville's 1972 Ford C/Young pumper and was destroyed, the frame was bent.

No - that was not the rig in the collision with Atglen. Spec's on the tanker from Cochranville:
1968 Ford NT-950 Super-Duty/Midwest (Boyer), full cab, 250/3500, 477 CI V-8 gas engine, 5-speed/2-speed rear manual transmission, cabinet style of tanker, tandum rear axles. It went into service on 5/11/68 at a cost of $31,000. It was housed 10/16/72. It was replaced and put up for sale in early 1990. They had trouble selling it even though it was in good shape for how old it was. It was finally sold in 1991 to a company in South Carolina.

It is now owned by a member of the Schuylkill Historical Fire Society. It appeared in the county parade held in Pine Grove last Saturday Sept.16th.
