Info on this rig.

1978 Ford C/Pierce, std. tilt-COE, 1000/1000, 534 CI gas engine, 5-speed manual transmission, new booster tank in 1992. All of 34's apparatus were red prior to this point. When they decided to buy an engine they went to East Brandywine FC and saw the Pierce 49 had and ordered one just like it. What they forgot about it was the color. When it arrived it was green. They were surprised but not dismayed so they just painted the other trucks to match. They had a choice of a 3208 Cat motor or a Dynamote power system in the Pierce. They choose the latter. It was sold in 3/97 for $14,500 to the fire company that protects the Darlington Motor Speedway, Darlington, SC.
