You are correct, it was a sad day for OWL, I was a bit upset as well because I am on vacation and my engine company ran the fire. I don't have a facts as to what happenend.

Acccording to the OWL website, "The Prince William County Fire Marshal ruled the cause as undetermined with all indications pointing to the engine as a possible cause".

Even though I run out of Station 2, it still hurts to see her like this.

Yes it's the same department, just a different station. We have 3 stations, 2, 12, and 14.

To keep the thread alive. Recently myself and two other Baltimore photog's made the Trip to Prince William County.



Here's a new piece I never knew was coming.



OWL/DCVFD Joint Venture Mobile Ventilation Unit 514 (MVU514)

OWL Bought the Chassis & will maintain/operate the rig. Dale City Bought the Fan.

Tim,

how come you didn't include the photo of the bussiness end of the unit.

We were told that the fan will raise 17' and revolve 360 degrees if needed, and it also has a connection for water to make a Misting machine.
