Eagan Mn Engine 2, 1980, Ford L9000 General Safety Engine, 500 Gal Tank, 1500 Gpm, Seating for 5. this rig is my favorite truck in the whole world, to bad it will not be around anymore, it was sold last friday to a private seller, and he is donateing it to a department in South America. This rig is the truck my father started on when he started in 1990 this was First out Truck for fire station 2, through the years it got moved to second out for for station 2, then moved over to station 4 and numbered E43 running 3rd out for calls or used more as a reserve truck. then it was moved back to Station 2 when the Peterbuilt Engine 2 was sold to Minnesota City Mn Fire Department. it has not really been used for the past 1-2 years for Fire Activity other then a personal carrier to fire trainings and scenes it was put up for sale in mid April, and sold last Friday May 23rd. I will miss it very Much as will alot of people.
I was able to take a few pictures of this Engine while at the Pierce factory this week. It is for the USAF and will be serving Qatar AB. The entire rig is painted in desert tan. The pump panel and a few odds and ends remain unpainted but the rest is all the same, diamond plating, chrome, everything is tan. Credits to KDWMAEMT, RIEMT, Ladder13, Rescue29Engine23,and AVFC1699.
