Info on this rig.

1980 Seagrave, P-Series, canopy cab, 1500/500/50. It was delivered in 9/80 for $100,000, 8V71 Detroit diesel, automatic. It was refurbed in July of 1994 by Kenco who installed a new body at a cost of $32,000. The company has not been happy with the work done by Kenco. In January of 2000, the public works department rebuilt the motor (better than before), they did such a good job that the rear blew out the week of February 7th. Repaired and placed back into service. Replaced in early 2001, sold in 5/01 to Company Two Fire Trucks, GA for $7,000, which resold it to Saco (Pike County, AL).

1977 Hendrickson 1871C/Pierce, Cincinnati canopy cab, 1250/500. The unit was ordered 11/75 for $78,582, Detroit 8V71 diesel, automatic. It was housed on 5/13/78. It was refurbed by Pierce in 1984. It was sold to the Gold Key Lake Fire Company of Milford (Pike County) in 1993 for $45,000. Gold Key Lake FC changed names through the 1990’s – ending up as Dingman Twp. FC. It was taken out of service in 07/03 and sold to Joe Black’s Towing of Hamlin (Wayne County, PA) to be used as a service vehicle. The pump & tank were removed, and they took a small school bus and cut off the top and mounted it over the hose bed. Interesting looking rig to say the least.

Mike, did North Versailles have 2 ex F.D.N.Y. Mack towers or not? When I bought E-290 from them, they had parts off it from TL-18, IIRC it was the front grill with a big 18 on it. They told me it was old TL-18.

Maybe from TL-18 to TL-155 or vice versa?

Stay safe, Brothers.
Kill 'em all, let Allah sort 'em out. NEVER forget 9/11/01 WTC, Pentagon, Pa. Avenge the acts with NO mercy.

Thanks to ALL the Brothers who were there 9/11/01 and afterwards. Words can never say what appreciation we have for you all.

Anyone have any pictures of the old Squirt 28 (Mack CF) from Parkesburg?

Green Valley Fire Co. of North Versailles Twp was the only department in the twp to own a Mack/Baker 75'. The unit was long gone before the merge happened from what I understand.

That thing had a Cat 3208 motor and a Spicer 2 speed bus transmission in it, the one guy at the station said the best way to drive it is to put a brick on the accelerator... make a sandwich, pour a drink... by the time you are done eating and drinking the truck might have shifted into second gear and might be out of town. A true gutless wonder!!!
