It's been busy lately so I haven't had much chance to get out and about shooting fire trucks. But, here are a few I've gotten over the last couple of months. First up is this recent refurb. in Gilmer County, GA. It's a 1986 Sutphen 1250/300/95' Platform as Tower 1.
Next up are a few from the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC) in Forsythe, GA. I couldn't get any of the rigs moved so I shot them where they sat. First up is 1981 E\-One Hurricane 80' Stratosphere as Ladder 13 #6035.
Next up is White County, GA Fire Dept. This rig is the former Rescue 6. I wish I had been able to get a shot of it while it was still lettered. It's now ready for disposal. All I know is that it's a former military Jeep ambulance. Anybody got any better information on it?
And last for now is this rig in Union County, GA. Wildland 4 is a 1990 Ford F250/Wildfire Pacific 250 gwt with a booster pump. It doesn't look like much but it sure is clean and shiny!

That's actually a 1984 Sutphen. It was former Gwinnett County Ladder 4, then Ladder 19. Gilmer bought the truck in 2004 at auction. Even the FDNY sticker on the drivers side crew cab window is original to Gwinnett...LOL. I remember that sticker being placed on it after 9/11.

Thanks Scooby, I appreciate the help. There was a mechanic working in it so I wasn't able to get an S.O. number on it either.

Well, I got suckered into leaving my retirement heaven and heading back to south Florida for a few days. I managed to get out today for some aircraft shots and was even able to get a few bonus fire apparatus shots. First up is Palm Beach County's first platform purchase in their history. Quint 29 is a 2010 Sutphen 1500/500/75' Platform #HS-4762.
Alex (Firepix21) mentioned that Palm Beach Gardens, FL was about to receive a new PUC. I did a little checking and found it right under my nose sort of. It was at my former department's shop to have radios, etc. installed. It's a 2010 Pierce Saber PUC 1500/1000? pumper bearing job #23036.
I wasn't looking to photograph private ambulances, and usually don't unless they're something unusual. Such was the case with these two run by American Ambulance in Miami-Dade County, FL. First up are two shots of a 200? International/? operated for the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
