Well, the wife and I are taking that huge step out into the world of fire truck owners. My Friend EMS12 and I had stopped at Kratzerville a couple weeks ago to photograph the new engine they bought. The Hahn which it is replacing was sitting outside awaiting sale. The informed me they had 1 offer for it, and that buyer wanted to send it overseas. I just couldn't see this happen to that beautiful rig. This rig originally served Jefferson, near Philadelphia, I am sure Bruce can fill in a lot of details on this engine. It is a 1981 Hahn, HCP15, 1500/500.
I hope some of you can help me with the ins and outs of owning a rig. My biggest dilema is going to be finding a place to store it. I have always loved the bulldogs, but I love all the customs, and the chance to own a piece of history with this Hahn, I couldn't turn this down. Was such a sad end to such a good brand, I am proud to keep alive a beautiful example of their work.
