As for the old Conover truck, it is definitely something you don't see everyday. It's a 1976 Kenworth W900/Pierce 2000(downgraded to 1500gpm)/300/50'TS that started out serving St. Timothy's VFD. St. Timothy's dissolved to form City of Conover station 2 where it served until 2007 as 15-Ladder 2. It is now privately owned by a big rig truck collector.

THIS is the rig that I hoped to own one day when I saw it posted on here several years ago. My god, what I would give. Wonder if I can make an offer to the owner?
