I made a quick trip up the road to Fluvanna County on Monday in hopes of shooting rigs I have never had an opportunity to do so before. I struck out at Fork Union, but lucked out at Palmyra.
If you want pictures of the Fork Union fire trucks you need to catch them at a fire as most of the members do not hang out at the firehouse, a new modern firehouse is in the works once the homeland security grant gets the final go-ahead....... I have some pictures of them that I will try to post soon.
As for designation as to the firetrucks in Palmyra the Palmyra Volunteer fire company is part of the Fluvanna County Volunteer Fire System which includes Palmyra, Fork Union and Kents Store that run under one larger organization.
Engine 11 is dispatched as Engine 11 but is known as a rescue engine as is Engine 52.
