Marc, I too remember seeing a few on "Family Trips to Philly". In the 70's we visited the Mint and the whole area near Center City - (Remember when you could see Wm. Penn BEFORE other buildings were allowed to be TALLER then City Hall?!). I remember stopping at Sqt 8/Snk 2 and Eng 1/Lad 5. Then I remember the good Old days for the Philly Muster down on Delaware Ave, putting a stream or tow out around where Dave & Busters is now...
While Not PFD, this pump and trailer was assigned to the Philly Navy Yard. I have no info to go with the slide that my Dad took. It was at the Muster on Delaware Ave in the 70's or 80's.
