1958 Pirsch, canopy cab with hose bed access, 1000 GPM, flattop dd front fenders, 6 cylinder Waukasha motor, 5-speed manual transmission. This was strictly a hose wagon because it had no water tank. Purchased by the township. Pirsch Serial #2389. It was sold in 1979. What you can not tell in the picture is the color. The story I got on it is that in 1941, they got a Dodge chassis which they converted to a fire truck. Since the country was at war, a member was able to obtain some free paint from the shipyard. The color of the paint was Horn & Hardent brown (a maroon color). There two latest purchases has gone back to this color after many years being lime-green.
