I dig EMS History... What Cadillac doesn't look sweet with four full-vue lights and a Q in the center? Off topic Q related snip-it. We used a Federal SD-10A as our warning siren until about '05, right after we got our ladder truck. Due to the new building, we had to reduce power to the siren, otherwise it would dim our lights down during the cycle. It was also switched from radio activation, to manual and used for 'in town' fires only. Upon hearing it, someone from the water authority would turn on the pumps to boost hydrant pressure. Anyhoo. The ladder responded to a fire call one night, we were on house watch because the county wide radio system failed after a lightning strike. Sadly, the Q on the ladder was now louder than the fire whistle. It hasn't been activated since.
