To add to what Pat has explained, Wilkinsburg Station 1 on Ross Ave. will become PBF Station 16 with an engine company.
Station 2 on Park Ave, which housed Engine 2 will be closed. 25 Wilkinsburg FFs have the option to become PBF members, but
those who do will have one year to meet Pittsburgh's employee residency requirement. Also Wilkinsburg will pay Pittsburgh
$7.6 millon for fire protection for the next 5 years. More info can be found on local Pittsburgh websites.
