To add to the info on the Dodge/Pierce mini pumper from Annapolis, The Independent Fire Co of Annapolis did purchase this new in 1976. The idea was that it could respond to auto fires in the then newly opened Hillman Parking Garage in downtown Annapolis. It was originally delivered without an overhead ladder rack. The fire chief of the Annapolis Fire Dept at the time would not let the volunteers place the unt in service unless it was equipped with ladders, so the overhead rack was added. As you might guess, once the ladder rack was added, the rig would then not fit inside the garage due to the restricted clearence. After that, the city never really knew how to use the rig. The volunteers just ended up placing it in service as Brush 37. In the late 1980's when the city consolidated all the downtown fire companies into the Taylor Ave Fire Station, the rig was primarily used to tow the fire boat when it was not in the water. I'm not sure what the final disposition of this rig was, but I had heard rumors it ended up being used by the Annapolis City Public Works Dept.
