In 2003, the Seattle Fire Department purchased eight American La France 1500 GPM triple combination pumpers. After the initial purchase they acquired an additional engine of the same type. Thanks to Rich Schneider for the historical information he provided.
Each is equipped with a top mounted pump control panel, a 500 gallon booster tank, a 10 gallon Class A foam tank, and a Cummins 330 HP diesel.
Built on American La France "Metropolitan" chassis with an "Eagle" cab-front.
