Orange County has many standing ALS orders so once a medic assessment engine arrives on scene, the single paramedic can start treatment right away. In some areas, you will get an assessment engine or regular engine and then a paramedic engine. BLS ambulance on all calls with transport, usually with both medics aboard.
Would I be correct to assume that a paramedic from the engine transports with the BLS ambulance if ALS care is rendered?
