Broward county numbers stations and units based on the date the station is put into service.
Dania beach had the first station, so they are 1 with the units being the same. Ft. Lauderdale has station 2 and so on.
I think broward has around 115 stations now, so regardless of whomever builds the next one, they get 116.
If there is a station unit with a 2 in front of it, that usually means an additional truck. Hollywood has station 31, staffed with 2 rescue trucks numbered R31 and R231.
