Redwood City, CA had, according to the notes on the slide, this "Custom" Van Pelt/HiRanger 75' snorkel. Would love to hear the info one this one! Mattson Collection <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/usa.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Straight from the Van Pelt book, this is a 1962 Van Pelt Custom 300 with a 75' Hi-Ranger platform, #615552. It was powered by a Hall-Scott motor and would later get a white/red paint job. Van Pelt built their own custom chassis from 1960-1977. Early versions used a cab constructed by Van Pelt, but later models used the TCM cab.
