I appreciate your ability to feature Joel and Bob's photography from 30+ years ago. In my opinion, both of these men were pioneers in apparatus photography here in Maryland.
Barton Hose's early attempt at an engine-tanker had a 1600 gal. tank and lasted until 1978. Chains were once common on fire equipment in mountainous Western Maryland, where winter can go from Halloween thru April Fool's Day. When the chains were left on the trucks for long periods, response time was slowed if run on bare roads. No doubt Joel visited Barton during a winter "thaw". <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />[/quote]
THANKS DR. FOR THE NICE COMMENTS, I'VE BEEN TRADING WITH WOODY FOR OVER 30 YEARS NOW AND HE IS ONE OF THE BEST, I KINDA LOST TRACK OF ROBERT, LAST I HEARD HE LIVED IN DAMACUS, MD ? Don
