The only reason i know what i know about Philly's Mack Tower Ladders is because i grew up right outside of Philly, on the Jersey side of the Delaware River. I grew up buffing the big jobs with my father that Philly used to get in the early to mid-eighties. I remember very clearly seeing those rigs, and i also have 3 old books on Philly apparatus that were put out by (if i remember correctly) the Philly Fire Museum, around 1984. Good books if you can get your hands on them.
My two favorite Philly rigs of all time were the original TL-6, 1978 Mack TL, and Squrt 72, also a 1978 Mack.
Anyone have any pics of these two rigs in action?
