I would assume the roll up door was replaced the traditional fold up lap door due to body build height or space restrictions on streets at scenes. Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas had the same issue. Our 2005 E\-One Reserve Engine 14's highside is extremely hard to reach when open due to body height. Olathe we began to spec split high side lap doors that open horizontal rather than vertical. Kansas City Kansas choose this style with roll ups for three highside doors. Both Olathe and KCK used the split doors on the old Pierce Arrow Pumpers. Thanks for posting Rick
