Dave, the Rescue from Steelton in Post #1714, you have part of the history of the rig correct. It originally started out with the East End Fire Company No. 6 of Steelton as Engine 54. The East End then closed and this engine was given to the Baldwin Hose Company No. 4 of Steelton where it ran as Engine 53-1. It then became Rescue 53 with the Baldwin Company shortly before the 4 remaining companies in Steelton merged and than it became know as Rescue 50.
