Cumberland's 1968 CF gets a lot of attention, but CFD's 1950 L-85 is no slouch either, the good news is after 60 years of service, it was donated by the city in 2010 to a local museum group who have already started a CFD history exhibit, hopefully it will ultimately be accessible for viewing. In 2006, the Cumberland chief took me to the Public Works complex to shoot this classic. Although a bit faded, this rig runs smoothly.
An interesting anecdote is that the 68 CF was involved in a accident while responding to a major train wreck in Cumberland,on 9/25/1985, the 50 L-85 took its place at the scene and then ran while the CF was repaired. (The CF had just undergone rehab prior to the accident <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_redface.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
