That's all good advice. My first Captain told me, when we work, we ALL work. When we eat, we ALL eat. When we get together for anything, we ALL get together. One further word of advice, a tip from an old-timer which I fortunately followed: Keep a personal log. Write down every alarm you respond to. Not a dime novel, just a line or two - date, address, maybe a remark or two. I started doing that my first day, and when I retired 40 years and over 10,000 alarms later it became one of my favorite mementos. Just remember it isn't a diary, it isn't about colleagues and it isn't anything you need to do publicly. Just make a brief note after every run, and years later you'll enjoy looking back through it. Good luck, stay safe, and welcome to the brotherhood.
