Very well said, John. Good advice for all probies. One additional thing . . . Remember that wherever you are, and whatever you do - on or off duty - you represent us all. If you get a traffic ticket that ordinarily wouldn't even make the papers, be prepared for the "Firefighter Cited In Local Incident" headlines. Over the years many firefighters have asked whether or not we should be held to a higher standard than the rest of society.
