South Metro Engine 44 assisted with filing Tanker 131's 3,500 gallon water / retardant tank. A big media day is being held at Centennial Airport tomorrow morning with the Governor and many state representatives in attendance. There's a push from many state officials to contract with heavy tankers this fire season.
Engine 44 is housed near the south side of the airport and operates this 2004 American LaFrance Eagle with 750 gallon water tank and 1,250 GPM pump.
