out here on the west coast seagrave is pricing themselves out of the market to where they are the high bid, kinda like pierce was a few years ago but have now come down in price to where a lot of cities are going to pierce without a bidding process. as for kme, la city has looked at la county's and they don't like them, and a few other departments that have kme's are having problems. we will have to wait and see who returns bids when the city get's around to sending them out

 

I know that LA City does not like the County TDA quint concept, but wonder if they'd be more open to just the straight trucks.  Seagrave has lost parts of some major contracts lately, and after their past relationship with LAFD, you'd wonder if they'd make a deal.  They'll need to buy something and I don't see them buying something like a Smeal or Spartan.  Sorry don't mean to hijack away from the Philly chatter.
