I was thinking that as late as 1950 one could start at Engine 7 on Eutaw St and walking at a brisk pace for 1 hour see 16 fire department buldings. Including Eng 7, Eng 1, Tr 2, Eng 23, Eng 15, Eng 27, Salvage Corps Station, Engine 32, Hose 1, High Pressure Pumping Station, Eng 4, Fire Alarm/Hdqts, T-16, Eng 6, Eng 16, ending at Eng 3 on Lombard St where you could pick-up a nice Pastrami sandwich at Attman's.
