Julie and I were in Spruce Pine last Saturday looking for any fire stations with open doors. We'd stopped by Parkway F&R Station 2, hoping to find open doors, when we turned around and saw this rig going by on Highway 226. I quickly made a u-turn and was in pursuit. I made the 35-45 minute drive from Grassy Creek to Bradshaw. At long last, we arrived in Bradshaw, but the fire truck had stopped at a local gas station. We waited! Finally, they arrived at the station and were most willing to pull their rigs out for photos! It was late in the evening, and there wasn't much sun to speak of; but this truly was a once in a lifetime chance to actually find someone at Bradshaw! Micah and I have long-waited to get pics at Bradshaw, because of the neat used rigs they run; but we never figured we'd find anybody there except for a meeting night or a fundraiser.
