1975 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1250/500, 6V71 Detroit diesel, 5-speed manual transmission, housed 6/5/76, in 1989 it was sold to Fountaindale (Adams County). For sale by Fountaindale in early 2001. Sold to FireTrucksPlus (a dealer in CA) who sold it to a fire company in Guatemala.
Norwood
1973 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, 4-door cab, 1000/750, housed 5/4/74, sold to Watts Township-New Buffalo (Perry County) in 1992. They upgraded the motor to a Cummins diesel and replaced the water tank to a 600 gallon in 1997. It also has a 4KW Onan generator. For sale in late 2004. Sold to Donaldson (Schuylkill County) who lost their 1975 Ward LaFrance engine on I-81 when it was struck by a tractor trailer at an accident scene.

1975 Ward LaFrance Ambassador series, canopy cab, 1500/500, 4-door cab enclosure added, suppose to be the first in the county, sold in 1989 to a fire company in Indiana.
Newtown Square
1967 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1250/500, Ultra-Vision cab, model P80-1250A-5, 817 Waukesha 6 cylinder gas motor, manual transmission, cost $33,849. It was sold to the Avonmore Fire Company (Westmorland County) in 1981 due to heavy rust in the body, who sold it to a dealer (Joe Dimenko) of Pechen Village Market, Dunbar (Fayette County) in 1998. For sale by auction in 03/06. Sold to Sigmund Auto Wreckers on Rt. 30 in Stoyerstown who cut it up for scrap.
Chester Township
1971 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1000/500, Waukasagas motor, 5-speed manual transmission, housed
10/21/72, OOS by 5/2000, sold for $1,100 to the Aston Sign Company of Aston (Delaware County) who mounted a large searchlight in the bed.
1977 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1250/750. The township purchased the truck with a community block grant and leases the truck to the company for a dollar a year. Housed 10/15/77. Replaced in 2006, sold to a private collector from South Jersey.
Milmont
1971 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1250/500, housed 7/17/71. Sold in 1995 to a company in OK.
Lennox Park
1974 Ward LaFrance Ambassador, canopy cab, 1000/750. This was the first piece ordered changing the paint scheme to white over lime green. It also has a top-mount pump panel. It was housed 9/6/75. Replaced in early 2004 and sold it to John J. Burzichelli of Paulsboro, NJ for $3,500. Resold to a doctor in Mulica Hill, NJ in 2004.
