Quote:Dick,
I shoot with all NIkon Lenses, one of the lenses I used that night was the Nikon 24-120 F4. What you are seeing is distortion which is characteristic of the wild angle. Please reference http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/24-120mm.htm if you don't believe me. There is nothing wrong with the lens. While I do some post editing of my photos, I chose not to have the program auto fix the issue as I had 200 photos to go through. Unlike a lot of people, I would like to thank you for pointing this out as I did not even take note of it, I will look for this issue from now on as a way to improve my photos as I am always looking to take the digital photo and make it "the Best". Thanks.
Yes, I thought it was probably a very wide lens, but what caught my attention is the left side is much more distorted than the right side. It's especially obvious in #4. You might want to run some tests to make sure the lens is OK. By the way, it's a great set of photos.
Do you happen to know a Manchester chief, now long since retired, I'm sure. His name is Peter ---?
