On a side note- Kudos to Dale City for going with KME and trying something different. I hope those units do well for your department.

Oh No...did you say Rescue Engine? These are not rescue engines (though they look like it, only 2'.5" shorter). These are state of the art firefighting machines designed for the extreme growth in population for Prince William County VA, home of a few 9 story buildings. These engines have been designed for the anticipation of future firefighting equipment and minimum requirements for an engine company in a bedroom community.



Didn't you know that every engine company should have 2' deep compartments and 4 coffin compartments so you have to climb on top of the engine to get equipment. The hose beds are at the perfect height for ease with hose deployment and bedding, while preventing injury at the same time. Just don't fall off getting equipment out the top of the engine.



Did you get a shot of the hose bed of E511 by any chance? I would like to see if they didn't follow spec as well.
