Wow such carziness on the web. So let's get a few things straight.
1. The current tower in Dale City is several years from being replaced
2. We will look at any demo that comes by but that doesn't mean we will buy it. Taylor why didn't you post Dale City was going to buy a Sutphen when they brought by a demo 3 weeks ago?
3. What's the 1st style of truck anyone brings up when you mention its time to start looking at the future??? Been here a while and everytime you start looking at a new one some start say a TDA.
4. Yes a group went to look at the Bauborsville rig so that they can see what issues a TDA can bring such length etc etc.
5. Sr how many companies are running TDA's in the DMV? Quite a few and many have just come into service over the past few years so getting help with training and info isn't as hard as you think. A scope hmmm..... too heavy, too many are shop queens and one hell of a price for a ton of limitations compared to so many other MM platforms out there.
So here is the deal..... When Dale City starts looking to buy something like a new ladder truck all options are looked into and after tons of research and real data a choice will be made. Lord I could remember when MM platforms showed up in Dale City and the rumors and neysayers raised their ugly heads and look everything worked out.
