This was assigned to Truck 1 in Arlington. It operated most of its career with twin Federal Power Lights. The CP siren speakers were originally mounted out board on the bumper and later moved by the shops to the current location. It was replaced with one of the triple order of 75ft Spartan/Quaility/ AI quints in 1997. I miss the days when all of the AFD Trucks were dry. It pains me to see any department replace real trucks with quints. I am excited to see the current Chief purchasing Trucks again. Although they have booster systems thankfully they don't meet quint criteria. I would love to find the Snorkel and ALF Aerial's AFD had.
Old Truck 8 the 1987 E\-One 110ft Dry Truck is in Highland Park, MI as their Spare Truck.
