Fire House one and two where both relocated during 1972 into modern facility's. Fire House Two moved to the south side of the city and retained its two story design with fire poles. Fire House One became a single story design. These new fire houses where required for the cities growth and newly acquired twin Oshkosh/Pierce/ 85ft Snorkel's for Truck 1 and Truck 2. The Independence 76er's Fire Historical Society has the fully restored 1928 ALF pumper that opened this fire house.
