On Thursday, I worked on more of the Houston area, beginning near my cousin's house, then heading towards Conroe and then south. The Houston area has several FD's that are not directly connected to a specific municipality, but are State sanctioned "Emergency Service Districts" or ESD's. Multiple stations in a single ESD can have addresses in different cities, which makes finding them a real treat!
I began at Mont Belvieu, previously known as the Barber's Hill FD. I have photographed here before (2005) when the apparatus had blue stripes, but they have been changed to green to match the fleets of the Mont Belvieu EMS and PD. I now have shots of Engine 2 in both schemes.
