It began life as a tractor with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Then went to a fire department in Bucks County. It was purchased in 2000 by Station 4 to repalce their 1992 International 4900 4 door low profile. It was repainted and new emergency lighting placed on it. [/quote]
Partially correct. It was an armored car chassis (with a big armored box) on the back for the NYS Thruway. It was such a huge chassis as it had to travel from one end to the other and collect the coin monies (quite heavy by the time you got done!) It was purchased by the Warrington Fire Company, Bucks County Company 29, and Saulsbury mounted the rescue box.
