My name is Charlie Womack.  I was chief of the Northwest Vol. Fire Dept. and we purchased the Midwest and a 1970 Mack from Reisterston Vol. Fire Company in the fall of 1979.   Our department provided fire protection for a portion of the northern suburbs of Houston, Texas.  We could not afford new apparatus so we purchased used apparatus to improve firefighting capability.  The Mack replaced an older engine and the Midwest was used to open fire station two.  The last I heard of the Midwest it had been purchased from our department by a fire district that provides fire protection to the suburbs of San Antonio, Texas.  It had been refurbished with a diesel engine and other upgrades.  Tobe Carter was Chief at Reisterstown and he told me that the Midwest was on a 1965 International chassis with a 1000 gpm main pump and a pto high pressure pump and it had a 600 gallon tank.  I hope this helps.
