The couple of guys I talked to when I was there arrived as the still and box companies...and said that there were heavy smoke conditions but they didn't see any visible fire.  I'm GUESSING (someone correct me if I'm wrong, please) that they called the 2-11 due, in part, to the roof beginning to sag during ventilation roof ops, just in case the roof were to collapse and the fire really accelerate from there.
