No way were we in da Bronx then.
Actually it was in Manhattan since we had just come over from the Coast Guard Base on Governors Island and stop by the house. I am thinking it was Engine 6 on Liberty St. and the Truck Co was about three or four doors down the street. The back of the station , kitchen and day room area, had a common way connecting the Engine and Truck quarters. This may have been another Engine Co. but 6 sticks in my mind as I was assigned to Engine 6 back in Richmond at the time. There were several businesses in between them.
