Neffsville Fire Company (Lancaster County, PA)
Engine 207
2008 Sutphen Monarch
2000 GPM / 1000 GWT / 55 Foam
Neffsville Fire Company is one of three stations that operates within the Manheim Township Fire Rescue department. Out of the three stations, it is the only remaining company that still operates under it's original charter. The other two stations (Eden and Southern Manheim Twp) both dissolved their charters and were absorbed into the municipal fire department. Units that are red in color were purchased by Neffsville and I believe are still owned by the volunteer organization. Units that are blue and white were purchased (or leased) by the municipal department. There are a combination of home responders, live-ins and career personnel at the Neffsville station. The other two stations are staffed primarily by live-in and career personnel.
The whole reason I was at the Neffsville station today was to inspect the pumper for the county to upgrade it to a rescue-engine. MTFR is selling Squad 207 and Rescue 201 (pictured later) and they will be leaving within the month. Engine 207 will become the back-up rescue company for the township behind Truck 204 which is a TDA and housed at the Eden station.
